On Sunday, September 17, 2017, at 7:26 p.m., the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office investigated a male subject with a valid arrest warrant at Huston Park, Ruthven. Following an investigation into the complaint, the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office arrested Miguel Sanculi (36), of Ruthven on a valid Clay County warrant for violation of probation of an original charge of domestic abuse assault. The bond for the warrant was set at $2,000.00 cash or approved surety. After further investigation at Huston Park, Sanculi was charged by the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office for possession of drug paraphernalia, which is a simple misdemeanor. Sanculi was transported to the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office, without incident, and booked in to await his initial appearance before a magistrate.
The Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office also arrested Brian Goeders (34), of Emmetsburg. Goeders was charged with possession of a controlled substance 3rd offense= class D felony and unlawful possession of a prescription drug= serious misdemeanor. Goeders was transported, without incident, to the Palo Alto County Jail and booked in to await his initial appearance before a magistrate.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
