Warrant Arrest

On Thursday, November 10, 2016, at 4:13 p.m., the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office arrested Joshua James Farris (32), of Ayrshire, on valid warrants from Palo Alto County and Kossuth County. The warrant for Palo Alto County stems from an original charge of theft 4th degree, which is a serious misdemeanor. The bond for Palo Alto County was set at $5,000.00 cash or approved surety. The warrant for Kossuth County was for contempt of court and stemmed from an original charge of burglary 3rd degree, which is a class D felony. The bond for Kossuth County was set at $200.00 cash or approved surety. Farris was transported, without incident, to the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office. Farris was unable to post bond for both warrants and was subsequently booked into jail to await his initial appearance before a magistrate.

A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
