On 06/12/2021 at 10:12 a.m., the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office arrested Christopher Earl Van Deest, 45, of Aurora, Colorado on a valid Palo Alto County warrant. The warrant was for failure to appear on the original charges of Theft in the 4th degree and Driving while Revoked, both serious misdemeanors. Van Deest was able to post the $500.00 cash only bond and was released on a promise to appear in front of a magistrate at a later date.
Assisting in the arrest was the Iowa State Patrol.
