On 12/09/20 the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office arrested Michael Alan Petersen (18) of Emmetsburg on a valid Palo Alto County Arrest Warrant for Sex Offender Registration Violation, 1st Offense, an Aggravated Misdemeanor. Following his arrest, Petersen was uanbable to post the $3500.00 cash or surety bond and was placed in jail to await his initial appearance before a judge.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
