On 10/21/2020 at 10:45 P.M. the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office arrested Christopher Gabbard (24) of Lake Park, Iowa pursuant to multiple valid Palo Alto County Arrest warrants. The warrants were for the charges of disorderly conduct –simple misdemeanor, criminal mischief 2nd degree- D Felony, assault with intent to inflict serious injury – aggravated misdemeanor, driving while barred – aggravated misdemeanor, failure to appear on original charge of driving while barred – aggravated misdemeanor, failure to appear on original charge of possession of controlled substance methamphetamine 1st offense – serious misdemeanor, and driving while barred – aggravated misdemeanor. The warrants carried a combined bond of $10,500 cash or surety, and $350.00 unsecured bond. Christopher was located and apprehended by the Lake Park Police Department and Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office. Custody was transferred to the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office, and he was transported without incident to the Palo Alto County Jail. Christopher was jailed to await his initial appearance before a judge.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
