At 6:40 p.m. on September 17, 2020, the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office arrested Johnette Sue Dodds (40) of Spencer, IA. on a valid Palo Alto County Warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of assault causing bodily injury, a serious misdemeanor. Dodds was unable to post the $1,500 bond and was placed in the Palo Alto County jail where she awaits an initial appearance in front of a judge.
Assisting the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office with the arrest was the Clay County Sheriff’s Office.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
