On July 13, 2020 at 10:50 p.m., the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office arrested Christopher Jon Hamre, 52, of Wallingford, IA., on two valid Palo Alto County Mittimus Warrants. The Mittimus Warrants were issued for domestic abuse assault with a dangerous weapon, an aggravated misdemeanor and operating while intoxicated 2nd offense, an aggravated misdemeanor. Hamre was sentenced to an indeterminate term in prison not to exceed two years in prison. Hamre is being held in the Palo Alto County Jail awaiting extradition to the Iowa Department of Corrections.
