On 8/18/19 the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office was contacted by the Woodbury County Sheriff’s Office reference a valid Palo Alto County Arrest Warrant for Mark Allen Lee (58) of Sioux City. Lee was taken into custody by the Woodbury County Sheriff’s Office on a local charge and a detainer was placed for Lee by the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office. On 8/19/19 the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office transported Lee from the Woodbury County Sheriff’s Office to the Palo Alto County Jail. Lee was served the Arrest Warrant for Failure to Appear for Arraignment on an original 2nd Degree Theft Charge. He was unable to post the $5000.00 cash only bond and was placed in jail.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
