On 08/11/2019 at 12:54 p.m. the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office arrested Joshua Michael Naig, 39, of Ruthven on four valid Dickinson County warrants. The warrants were issued for contempt of court on a failure to appear. The original charge on the first warrant was Domestic Abuse Assault a simple misdemeanor. The original charge on the second warrant was OWI 2nd an aggravated misdemeanor and Driving while Revoked a serious misdemeanor. The original charge on the third warrant was OWI 3nd a class “D” felony and Driving while Revoked a serious misdemeanor. The original charge on the fourth warrant was Driving while Revoked a serious misdemeanor. All four warrants carried a $500.00 cash/ surety bond. Naig was able to post the $2,000 cash bond and was released on a promise to appear in court in Dickinson County at a later date.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
