On June 24, 2019 at 8:27 p.m. the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office and Emmetsburg Police Department went to 1508 Monroe Street in Emmetsburg in an attempt to locate Ryan Manwarren (22) of Emmetsburg, IA., on two arrest warrants out of Palo Alto County for violation of probation and disorderly conduct. Manwarren also had an arrest warrant issued for him out of Emmet County for failure to affix drug tax stamp and possession of a controlled substance. As officers approached the residence Manwarren exited the residence and run into a wooded area along a set of rail road tracks. Manwarren was located a short time later and taken into custody.
Manwarren received additional charges by the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office for interference with official acts, a simple misdemeanor, and possession of drug paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor. Manwarren was held in the Palo Alto County Jail on the warrants and additional charges.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
