On Sunday, September 23, 2018, at 10:37 p.m., the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office arrested Charles Stallings (57) of Emmetsbsurg, Ia on a valid Buena Vista County Arrest Warrant for Contempt of Court – original charge of Public Intoxication. The warrant was a no-bond mittimus and Stallings was subsequently transported to Buena Vista County authorities to serve the remainder of his 30 day mittimus. The Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Emmetsburg Police Department.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
