At 10:47 p.m. on September 4, 2018, the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office arrested Mario Martinez JR. (41) of Graettinger on a State of Texas, Department of Criminal Justice Parole Warrant. Martinez had a nationwide warrant for his arrest out of Zavala County Texas for a violation of parole on two original charges of burglary of a building/habitation. Martinez was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Palo Alto County Jail where he awaits extradition back to the State of Texas to answer to the charges. The Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office was assisted during the arrest by the Iowa State Patrol.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
