On Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at 6:30 p.m. the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office arrested John Kinnetz (52) of Emmetsburg, Ia on valid Palo Alto County Arrest Warrants. The warrants were for Harassment in the 1st Degree, an aggravated misdemeanor, and Assault Causing Bodily Injury or Mental Illness, a serious misdemeanor. Kinnetz was unable to post the $6500 cash-only bond and subsequently transported to the Palo Alto County Jail where he was booked and is currently awaiting his initial appearance before a judge.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
