On Friday, July 6, 2018 at 4:36 a.m. the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office served a valid Palo Alto County arrest warrant on Garret Wassom (19) of Spencer, Ia for the charges of Attempted Murder, Conspiracy to Commit Forcible Felony and Violation of Probation. Wassom was prviously sentenced in this case and was to attend and successfully complete the Regional Traning Facility program in Sioux City. These warrants were issued when Wassom walked away from the Sioux City facility. Wassom was able to post the $15,000.00 bail and was subsequently released from the Palo Alto County Jail where he was being held.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
