On Tuesday, May 08, 2018 at 10:20 p.m. the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office arrested Jerrold D. Sutherland (71) of Ruthven, Ia on a valid Palo Alto County arrest warrant – 11 counts of Theft – 5th Degree, all simple misdemeanors. Sutherland was unable to post the $750 cash-only bond and was subsequently transported to the Palo Alto County Jail where he was booked into jail and currently awaits his initial appearance before a magistrate.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
