On Wednesday, October 25, 2017, the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office served a valid Palo Alto County arrest warrant on Joshua Thompson (39) of Sheldon, Ia on the charge of 2nd Degree Theft, a Class “D” Felony. Thompson was unable to post the $7500 cash only bond and was subsequently transported from the Cherokee County authorities to the Palo Alto County Jail where he is currently awaiting his initial appearance before a judge.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
