Warrant Arrest

On Tuesday, August 15, 2017, at 11:00 p.m., the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office arrested Nathan Bell (36), of Spencer, on two valid Palo Alto County warrants. The first warrant was for contempt of court, failure to pay fines on an original charge of open container issued by the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office. Open container is a simple misdemeanor. There was $500.00 bond set for the first warrant.

The second warrant was for criminal mischief 3rd degree and domestic abuse causing bodily injury. Charges were issued by the Emmetsburg Police Department. Criminal mischief 3rd degree is an aggravated misdemeanor and domestic abuse causing bodily injury is a serious misdemeanor. There was no bond for the second warrant.

Bell was transported, without incident, to the Palo Alto County Jail, and booked in to await his initial appearance before a magistrate.

A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
