On 5/7/2018 at 3:56 a.m., the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office investigated a suspicious person in the 1400 block of Gowrie Street in Ruthven. Upon an investigation, the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office arrested Joshua Michael Anderson, age 35 of Sioux City, on a valid Buena Vista County Warrant. Anderson’s warrant charges were for the Possession of a Controlled Substance (3rd or subsequent offense) and Contempt of Court (Failure to Appear/Pay). During the arrest of Anderson, Anderson was found to be in possession of a controlled substance by the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office. Anderson was transported to the Palo Alto County Jail and held until his initial appearance before a judge. Anderson will be extradited to Buena Vista County following the Possession of a Controlled Substance-2nd or subsequent convictions (Class D Felony) filed against him.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
