On 08/23/2019 at 8:02 a.m. the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office was called to investigate a two vehicle accident at the intersection of E. Patterson Street and S. Washington Avenue. Upon investigation it was determined that a 2011 Ford Edge driven by Lisa Marie Hoffman of Graettinger was stopped at the stop sign at the intersection, facing west. A 2011 Chevy Impala driven by Leo Edward Mahan of Graettinger was stopped at the stop sign at the intersection, facing north. Mahan pulled away from the stop sign and proceeded northbound through the intersection. Hoffman pulled away from the stop sign to make a right hand turn onto S. Washington Avenue. The vehicles collided in the intersection. Damage to the Ford is estimated at $200.00 and the Chevy is estimated at $800.00. There were no injuries reported on scene.
