Two Vehicle Accident

On Saturday, July 21st, 2018, the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office investigated a two vehicle accident involving a calf in the 3600 block of 380th Avenue. Following an investigation, the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office determined that Zachary Lieb, of Ayrshire, was driving his 2002 Chevrolet Blazer south bound in the 3600 block of 380th Avenue. when a calf entered the roadway from the farm at 3635 380th Avenue and was struck by Lieb’s vehicle. The calf died from the accident and came to rest in the south bound lane of 380th Avenue. As Lieb turned around and parked on the east shoulder near where the calf laid on the roadway, the calf was struck by a 2008 Pontiac g6, driven by Sydney Stone of Algona. There was an estimated $500.00 damage done to Lieb’s vehicle from the accident and an estimated $3,000.00 damage done to Stone’s vehicle. There were no injuries reported from Lieb and Stone.
