On Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at 6:30 p.m. the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office was called to the 100 block of Main Street in Cylinder, Ia for a report of a two vehicle accident. Following an investigation it was determined that Martha Wells (77) of Emmetsburg, Ia was backing her 2011 Lexus R35 into a parking spot when she failed to judge the distance and struck a legally parked 2017 Chevrolet Silverado owned by Perry Radig (69) of Whittemore, Ia. The damage to the Wells vehicle is estimated at $750 and the damage to the Radig vehicle is estimated at $1000. No injuries were reported at the scene.
