Two Vehicle Accident

On Friday, December 16, 2016, at 5:43 p.m., the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a two vehicle accident in the 2800 block of 420th Avenue. Following an investigation into the accident, the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office determined that Micah Roach (21) of Estherville was driving his 2007 Pontiac G6 southbound in the 2800 block of 420th Avenue and following a 2005 Dodge Dakota driven by Roger Hash (58) of Estherville. Hash slowed his vehicle to allow for a vehicle ahead of him to turn into the city limits of Graettinger. While slowing, Hash’s vehicle was struck in the towing hitch by the front bumper of Roach’s vehicle. There were no injuries reported in the accident. Hash’s vehicle did not sustain any damage in the accident. Roach’s vehicle sustained an estimated $1,000.00 damage in the accident. The Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office cited Micah Roach with following too closely, which is a simple misdemeanor.

A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
