On 4-24-2018, the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office transported 36 year old Joseph M. Ackerman JR, from Spencer, Ia., to the custody of the Department of Corrections, Oakdale, Ia. Ackerman was sentenced to no more that 5 years in prison on a 3rd or subsequent OWI charge stemming from a serious personal injury accident, dating back to 9-26-2016, which occurred south of Ayrshire.
