On 10-13-2015 at 8:26 a.m., the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office received a call concerning a farm tractor accident in the 3500 block of 550 Ave. A 2006 Case IH STX 330, driven by 23 year old Serhii Sidelnyk of Whittemore, was south bound on the gravel when he steered to the right, over corrected to the left causing the tractor and the Houle 9500 manure tanker to veer across the road into the east ditch. The tractor continued through the ditch and struck some tress.
The tractor sustained extensive front end, hood and cab damage estimated at $90,000.00. The manure tanker was not damaged.
No injuries reported.
Sidelnyk was cited for failing to maintain control.
