On 11/17/2018 at 11:01, the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office investigated a single vehicle rollover accident that occurred in the 3100 block of 480th Avenue. According to the investigation done at the scene, a 1997 Ford Explorer owned and driven by Antonio Lucero Bejarano, age 73 of Ringstead, was traveling north on 480th Avenue. Bejarano lost traction and entered the east ditch and rolled, coming to rest on its top. Bejarano was checked by the Palo Alto County Health System at the scene.
Damage to the Bejarano vehicle is severe and deemed a total loss. The Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Palo Alto County Health System and the Emmet County Sheriff’s Office. Bejarano was cited for failure to maintain control.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
