On 10/21/2018 at 9:00 p.m., the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a vehicle vs. deer accident that occurred in the 4400 block of 415th Street. According to the investigation done at the scene, a 2008 Chevy Impala owned by Burley Gene Kemp but driven by Jessica Marie Kemp, age 21 of Pocahontas, was traveling west in the 4400 block of 415th Street. A deer emerged from the south ditch area and onto the roadway. The Kemp vehicle made contact with the deer causing an estimated $1500.00 worth of damages. There were no reported injuries from the collision.
