On Saturday, August 13th, 2016, at 1:51 a.m., the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office investigated an accident in the 5500 block of 390th Street. April Hawn, 28, of Emmetsburg advised the Sheriff’s Office that she was a passenger in a 2006 Chevrolet HHR, registered to Brandy Reason, of Arnolds Park. Hawn stated that a male subject was driving the HHR westbound in the 5500 block of 390th Street when he veered into the south ditch and collided with a creek bank on the south side of the roadway. Hawn advised that the male subject left the scene on foot after the accident. Hawn was transported to the Palo Alto County Hospital to receive medical attention. The Chrevrolet HHR was deemed a total loss in the accident. This accident is currently still under investigation by the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office and charges are pending.
