On Wednesday July 15, 2015 at approximately 9:00pm the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office was called to a single vehicle accident where two people were injured. Deputies arrived on scene at 9:12pm to find a 1955 Chevy Belaire driven by Alan Leslie Fay of Emmetsburg in the east ditch in the 4400 block of 420th Av. Fay was heading south in the above location when he lost control of the vehicle and entered the east ditch. The vehicle hit the embankment and spun around ejecting both him and his passenger, Carissa Kay Fay.
Alan Fay was checked out on scene by the ambulance and was not transported. Carissa Fay was taken by ambulance to the Palo Alto County Hospital for possible non life threatening injuries. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at approximately $2000. Alan Fay was charged with violation of the conditions of a restricted license, operating a non registered vehicle, failure to prove insurance-accident related, failure to maintain control, and failure to wear a safety belt.
