On 9/3/2019 at 1:18 p.m., The Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a single vehicle personal injury accident which occurred at the intersection of 380th Ave and 470th Street. According to the investigation by the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office, a 2006 Freightliner Tractor hauling a 2011 Wilson Grain Trailer owned by Pro Cooperative and driven by Kevin Ray Hankins, age 61 of Milford, was turning north onto 380th Ave from 470th Street. In the process of turning both units, the rear passenger wheels on the Wilson Grain Trailer left the traveled portion of the roadway and into the ditch area. As a result, the trailer loaded with grain overturned which caused the 2006 Freightliner to tip onto its side. Hankins was transported to the Spencer Hospital by the Palo Alto County Health System. Total damage is estimated at $10,000 to the 2006 Freightliner tractor and 2011 Wilson trailer owned by Pro Cooperative. The investigation into the accident is ongoing by the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office.
