On August 22, 2018 at 2:21 p.m. the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office arrested Chad Bol (51) of Ruthven, Ia., for Possession of a Controlled Substance, 3rd or subsequent offense – A Class “D” Felony, Possession of a Controlled Substance, 3rd or subsequent offense – An Aggravated Misdemeanor, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a Simple Misdemeanor. The charges stem from assisting the Spirit Lake Police Department in executing a Dickinson County search warrant at 1408 Center Street in Ruthven, Ia., for an unrelated incident. When entering the residence, the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office observed drug paraphernalia and secured an additional search warrant, locating the above items. Bol was subsequently transported to the Palo Alto County Jail where he was booked and is currently awaiting his initial appearance before a judge.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
