Public Intoxication Arrest

On Sunday, January 29, 2017, at 01:46 a.m., the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office investigated a complaint of an intoxicated male chasing cars and yelling at customers at Casey’s General Store in Emmetsburg. Following the investigation, the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office arrested Charles Mason (42), of Emmetsburg. Mason was charged with public intoxication 2nd offense= serious misdemeanor, disorderly conduct= simple misdemeanor, and interference with official acts= simple misdemeanor. Mason was transported, without incident, to the Palo Alto County Jail and booked in to await his initial appearance before a magistrate.

A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
