On Friday, August 31st, 2018, at 10:18 p.m., the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office located three male subjects, later identified as Caleb Gunderson (19), Nathan Harris (19), and Alex Hoffman (21) walking with open beer cans in the 300 block of South Washington Avenue, Graettinger. While attempting to identify the three male subjects, Gunderson fled on foot and was immediately arrested by the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office.
Following the investigation into this incident, Nathan Harris was issued a citation for minor in possession of alcohol, which is a simple misdemeanor. Alex Hoffman was issued a citation for consumption of alcohol in a public place, which is a simple misdemeanor. Caleb Gunderson was charged with interference with official acts, public intoxication, and minor in possession of alcohol, which are all simple misdemeanor. Gunderson was transported, without incident, to the Palo Alto County Jail and booked in to await his initial appearance before a magistrate.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
