On 08/17/2021 at 10:04 P.M. the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop in the 3400 block of 420th Ave. As a result of the traffic stop and subsequent investigation, Clifton Peaches (51) of Estherville, was placed under arrest and charged with operating while intoxicated 2ND offense – aggravated misdemeanor, driving without a valid driver’s license – simple misdemeanor, driving on the wrong side of the road – simple misdemeanor, and failure to illuminate the rear license plate – simple misdemeanor. Clifton was transported without incident to the Palo Alto County Jail to await his initial appearance before a judge.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
