On April 19, 2021, at 8:11 p.m., the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office was called to the 3100 block of 420th Avenue near Graettinger for a report of a vehicle swerving all over the road. While officers were responding, they were advised the vehicle had ran out of gas and the driver was trying to get a ride into Graettinger.
At 8:29 p.m. a Palo Alto County Deputy observed the vehicle in question at the Country Store in Graettinger. Upon investigation, the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office arrested Juarez Medrano Genaro, (35) of Graettinger, for operating while intoxicated 1st offense, a serious misdemeanor, open container – driver, a simple misdemeanor, and driving without a license, a simple misdemeanor. Genaro was placed in the Palo Alto County Jail where he awaits an initial appearance in front of a judge.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
