On 03/20/2021 at 11:36 P.M. the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop in the 1000 block of Palmer St., Emmetsburg, Iowa. As a result of the traffic stop and subsequent investigation Nathan Myers (31) of Emmetsburg was placed under arrest and charged with operating while intoxicated 1st offense – serious misdemeanor, failure to illuminate the rear license plate and no proof of vehicle insurance, both simple misdemeanors. Nathan was transported to the Palo Alto County Jail where he was booked in to await his initial appearance before a judge.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
