On Saturday, September 12th, 2020, the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office investigated an erratic driving complaint in the 1300 block of Elm Street, Ruthven. During the investigation, Deputies located the suspect vehicle in the 1400 block of Center Street, Ruthven. Following the investigation into the complaint, the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office arrested Patrick Ferguson (22) of Estherville, charging him with careless driving = simple misdemeanor and operating while intoxicated 2nd offense = aggravated misdemeanor.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
