On 01/25/2020 at 6:01 a.m. the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a vehicle in the ditch in the 3200 block of 420th Avenue. It was determined that Dylon Sean Stevenson, 22, of Manson, Ia., was northbound on 420th Avenue when he lost control of the 2011 Chevy Cruze he was operating and entered the west ditch. The Chevy didn’t receive any reportable damage.
Upon investigation the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office arrested Stevenson charging him with Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st offense, a serious misdemeanor, OWI 1st offense, a serious misdemeanor, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor and Failure to Maintain Control, a simple misdemeanor. Stevenson was booked into the Palo Alto County Jail to await his initial appearance before a magistrate.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
