On Friday, February 10, 2017, at 8:46 p.m., the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office investigated a disturbance at 402 North Van Gordon in Graettinger. It was reported that Jessie Martin (29), of Graettinger was inside of the complainants residence and was refusing to leave. While responding to the incident, the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office was notified that Martin left the residence. Deputies located Martin in the 300 block of North Van Gordon. Following the investigation, the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office arrested Jessie Martin, charging him with violation of a no contact order= class D felony and public intoxication= simple misdemeanor. Martin was transported, without incident, to the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office and booked in to await his initial appearance before a magistrate.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
