On Wednesday, August 5th, 2020, at 9:01 pm, the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office received a complaint reference to an altercation between two male subjects occuring in the 1200 block of Burns Street, Ruthven. Following an investigation into the complaint, the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office arrested Roger Plourde (54) of Ruthven. Plourde was charged with disorderly conduct = simple misdemeanor; harassment 1st degree = aggravated misdemeanor; interference with official acts causing bodily injury = serious misdemeanor; reckless driving = simple misdemeanor; criminal mischief 5th degree = simple misdemeanor; and failure to obey traffic control device = simple misdemeanor. Plourde was transported to the Palo Alto County Jail and booked in to await his initial appearance before a magistrate.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
