On Thursday, March 17, 2016, at 12:58 a.m., the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office arrested Ronald Moriarty on a valid Palo Alto County warrant for violation of probation. The warrant stems from an original charge of felon in possession of a firearm, which is a class “D” felony. Bond for the warrant was set at $5000.00 cash or approved surety. Moriarty was transported, without incident, to the Palo Alto County Jail. Moriarty was unable to post bond and was booked into jail to await his initial appearance before a magistrate.
