At 8:23 p.m. on November 15, 2108, the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office received a complaint of suspicious activity in the 4400 block of Burns Road, south west of Emmetsburg. An application for a search warrant was completed, and upon the execution of the search warrant the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office arrested Kenneth Manz (33) of Sioux Falls, SD. for Possession of a controlled substance – marijuana 2nd Offense, a serious misdemeanor, possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine 1st offense, a serious misdemeanor, possession of drug paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor, and possession of burglar tools, an aggravated misdemeanor.
The Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office also arrested Aaron Manz (36) of Emmetsburg, IA. for possession of a controlled substance – marijuana, a serious misdemeanor, and possession of drug paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor.
Kenneth Manz and Aaron Manz were both booked into the Palo Alto County Jail for the above charges. Assisting the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office at the scene was the Emmetsburg Police Department and the Iowa Department of Natural Resources.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
