On 8/30/2018 at 12:59 a.m., the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office investigated a suspicious vehicle parked at 4700 Brushy Bayou. After an investigation into the incident, the Palo Alto County Sheriff’ s Office arrested James William Knight IV, age 28 of Emmetsburg, on the charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance (Marijuana 1st Offense), a serious misdemeanor and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor. Knight was transported to the Palo Alto County Jail without incident and held until his initial appearance before a magistrate judge.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
