On 08/25/2021 at 9:17 P.M. the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a suspicious female subject at the park in Ruthven. A Deputy responded to the location and located Natosha Engelkes (29) of Ruthven, Iowa, and discovered she had an active warrant through Clay County for possession of drug paraphernalia. During the arrest Natosha was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Natosha was transported to the Palo Alto County Jail and charged with possession of a controlled substance methamphetamine 3rd offense –D felony, and possession of drug paraphernalia – simple misdemeanor. She was place in the Palo Alto County Jail to await her initial appearance before a judge and extradition to Clay County.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
