On 6/21/18 at approximately 8:38PM, the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office executed a traffic stop in the 4800 block of 380th Avenue, on a 2008 Chrysler Sebring driven by Jason Sassman of Spencer. Following an investigation and search of the vehicle, 28 grams of Methamphetamine was found and seized. Subsequently the driver, Jason Elmer Lawrence Sassman (47) and and a passenger, Mary Michele Korte (51) both of Spencer were arrested on charges of Possession of Methamphetamine With the Intent to Deliver, a Class B Felony.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
