On 01/23/2021 at 9:17 a.m. the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a male sleeping in a pickup at the intersection of 340th Street and 430th Avenue. Following an investigation, the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office arrested James Samuel Patrick Sutherland, 37, of Dickens charging him with Driving while Suspended and Open Container, both simple misdemeanors. Sutherland was booked into the Palo Alto Jail to await his initial appearance before a magistrate.
The incident is still under investigation and additional charges are pending.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
