At 6:46 p.m. on August 28, 2018, the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office executed a traffic stop in the 4000 Block of 360th Street near Emmetsburg, on a 1996 Oldsmobile Delta 88, driven by Justin Rink (31) of Marathon, Iowa. The Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office discovered Rink’s privilege to operate a motor vehicle in the State of Iowa was revoked due to a prior operating while intoxicated charge. The Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office arrested Rink for driving while license denied or revoked, a serious misdemeanor. Rink was placed in the Palo Alto County Jail to await an appearance in front of a judge.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
