On 07/13/2020 at 10:53 P.M., the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop in the 4600 block of 370th St., Emmetsburg, Iowa for a vehicle defect. As a result of the stop the driver of the vehicle, Troy Fleming (46) of Fort Dodge, was arrested and charged with driving while barred, an aggravated misdemeanor, and no proof of insurance. He was issued a warning citation for improper rear lamps. Troy was transported without incident to the Palo Alto County Jail to await his initial appearance before a judge. The Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by the Emmetsburg Police Department.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
