On 07/30/2021 at 9:38 pm, the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office received a call about a posible domestic disturbance at 18 3rd street SE, in West Bend. Following an investigation, the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office arrested Joshua Tolbert (38) of West Bend, on charges of Domestic Abuse Causing Injury, a Serious Misdemeanor, Child Endangerment, an Aggravated Misdemeanor, and Violation of a Protective Order. Following his arrest, Tolbert was placed in jail to await his initial apppearance before a judge.
The Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the West Bend Police Department and the Kossuth County Sheriff’s Office.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
