On 1-1-2018 at 12:38 a.m., the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office was called to 34099 320th Street in Ruthven, Ia for a report of a domestic assault in progress. Following an investigation at the scene, the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office arrested Jody Nibbelick (45) of Orange City, IA for Domestic Assault – Serious Misdemeanor. Nibbelick was subsequently transported and booked into the Palo Alto County Jail where he is currently awaiting an initial appearance before a judge. The Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Spencer Police Department, Clay County Sheriff’s Office and Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
