On 12/12/2020 at 11:11 P.M. the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call about a physical domestic altercation occurring in the 300 block of S. Jackson St., Graettinger, Iowa. Deputies from the Palo Alto Sheriff’s Office, and Emmet County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area and located a female victim. As a result of the investigation, Jason Johnson (39) of Hartley, Iowa, was located and placed under arrest. Jason was charged with domestic abuse assault causing bodily injury, a serious misdemeanor. Assisting with locating and apprehending Jason was the Hartley Police Department and the O’brien County Sheriff’s Office. Jason was transported to the Pal o Alto County Jail, without incident, where he was booked in to await his initial appearance before a Judge.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
